10 lakh rupees robbed in Rohini, Delhi, six arrested

As soon as the victim reached Maharaja Agrasen route near Sector 3. Two motorcycle riders stopped him and looted a bag full of money.

New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested six people in Rohini area for robbery of Rs 10 lakh. Police said on Saturday that the accused have been identified as Jatin Tiwari alias Langra (22), Yogendra Singh alias Raja (21), Arsalan Pathan (19), Prince alias Lallu (18), Kapil Patel (25) and Piyush Singh Adhikari (22). Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Amit Goyal said that this incident of robbery took place on May 21, when Kuldeep Kumar, who works in the CA firm, was returning to the office with a cash company in a trading company in Avantika Market.

The incident took place on Maharaja Agrasen Marg

Told that as soon as the victim reached the Maharaja Agrasen road near Sector 3, two motorcycle riders stopped him and snatched his bag full of money and ran away. A case was registered at South Rohini police station under the relevant sections of the Indian Code. During the investigation, the police searched CCTV footage installed on the way to the victim. The official said that the footage has revealed that apart from two attackers riding on the main bike, three more suspected complainants were chasing another motorcycle. The motorcycle used in the robbery was found registered in the name of a resident of Rithala village.

Rithala had two main attackers

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Amit Goyal said that the two main attackers have been identified as Jatin Tiwari and Rahul of Rithala. Rahul was riding a bike and Jatin snatched the bag. He said that on May 22, Jatin Tiwari was arrested and revealed that the cash -filled bag was handed over to his fellow Prince, who was sitting behind with two other people, Arslan Pathan and Kapil Patel.

Former firm employee gave information

The DCP said that it also revealed that Yogendra, a former employee of the same CA firm, had informed about the cash, who was aware of the financial activities of the firm. Based on interrogation of Jatin, Yogendra Singh was arrested the next day. Arslan, Prince, Kapil and Piyush were arrested in the following days. Police said that an amount of Rs 8.68 lakh has been recovered so far. Police said that further investigation is going on.
