Devvrat Mahesh Rekhe: The name of 19 year old Vedamurthy Devvrat Mahesh Rekhe is echoing everywhere. Devvrat Rekhe has made the impossible possible. For the first time in the history of Kashi, someone at such a young age has memorized all the mantras of Yajurveda. Devavrata has continuously chanted 2000 Veda mantras of Yajurveda in 50 days. He achieved this feat in classical style without looking at the mantra, without forgetting it and without stopping. Prime Minister Modi and CM Yogi also praised him for his achievement.

Someone achieved this feat for the second time in the world
In the Sanatan Guru tradition of India, it is called “Dandakram Parayan” and those who complete it get the respectable title of Vedamurti. For the second time in the world, Dandakrama Parayan was performed in Kashi after 200 years. Two hundred years ago, Vedamurthy Narayan Shastri Dev had recited Dandakram in Nashik. Devvrat started the parayan at Vallabharam Shaligram Sangveda Vidyalaya on 2 October and it ended on 30 November. CM Yogi has also honored Devvrat.

Devvrat Mahesh Rekhe is a resident of Ahilya Nagar, Maharashtra. His father’s name is Vedabrahmashree Mahesh Chandrakant Rekhe. Devvrat is a student of Sangveda Vidyalaya, Varanasi. Devavrata recited 2,000 mantras and Vedic verses correctly. It was told that he practiced for four hours daily to complete Dandakram Parayan. For this achievement, Devavrat has been given a bracelet worth ₹ 5 lakh and Dakshina of ₹ 1,11,116. This honor was given with the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Dakshinamay Sri Sringeri Sharda Peetham.
