Jito Connect: Defense Minister said that the Indian Army can cross any border if needed to protect India’s unity and integrity.
Jito connect: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday that the NDA government has shown the 2016 surgical strikes, 2019 Balakot air strike and recently conducted operation vermilion that the country is capable of protecting its citizens. Said that the Indian Army can cross any border if required to protect India’s unity and integrity. Speaking in ‘JITO Connect’ organized by Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) here, he said that innocent people were killed on the basis of their religion in the Pahalgam terror attack, but India did not see religion while doing surgical strikes against Pakistan.
No compromise with respect
He said that the government targeted only terrorist bases to punish those responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack. We did not attack any military or civil establishment there. If we wanted, we could have done this work before, but we did not do so. According to Defense Minister Singh, the Central Government’s focus on increasing military and economic power is not to establish domination, but to protect the ideals contained in religion, faith and human values, which are reflected in the teachings of Lord Mahavira. He said that when it comes to India’s pride and respect, we never compromised. Whether it is a surgical strike of 2016, 2019 Aermarks or 2025 Operation Sindoor, we have proved that we will cross any limit whenever needed for the unity and integrity of India and to protect every citizen and country.
Country’s increased defense exports
On defense exports, the minister said that when the NDA government took power 11 years ago, the country’s exports were about Rs 600 crore, which has now increased to more than Rs 24,000 crore. He estimated that by 2029 the figure would cross Rs 50,000 crore. The government has already made an agreement to purchase 97 light fighter aircraft with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s slogans of ‘Local for Global’ and ‘Vocal for Local’, he said that the country is now producing a wide range of products from toys to tanks. He said that India is moving fast towards becoming the world’s manufacturing center. The day is not far when India will emerge as a factory of the world.
The third largest economy will be made soon
He also underlined that India is moving towards becoming the third largest economy with an estimated GDP of US $ 7.3 trillion by 2030. Appreciating the Jain community for his contribution to national development, Singh said that although this community is only 0.5 percent of the total Indian population, their contribution is about 24 percent of the total tax collection. He said that be it pharma, aviation or education sector, Jains are playing a leading role due to their disciplined and value-based life. Union Coal Minister Kishan Reddy, IT and Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu of Telangana, State BJP President N Ramchander Rao were also present on the occasion.
