The Railway Minister said that many new projects have been started in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh too, governments with double engine in both the states are rapidly pursuing projects.
Bhavnagar: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Sunday that India’s first bullet train service will start very soon and this will reduce the travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to two hours and seven minutes. Union Minister Vaishnav was on Bhavnagar Terminus, from where he flagged off Ayodhya Express, Rewa-Pune Express and Jabalpur-Raipur Express. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Mohan Yadav and Vishnu Dev Sai were also present on the occasion. Vaishnav said that the first bullet train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will start very soon and work on this project is going on fast. When it starts moving, the journey from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will take only two hours and seven minutes. India’s first bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will cover a distance of 508 km. The bullet train will start from Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area in Mumbai and connect with Vapi, Surat, Anand, Vadodara and Ahmedabad in Gujarat, which will run at a high speed of 320 kmph.
Redevelopment of 1,300 railway stations in the country
Addressing a gathering here, the Union Minister also gave details of upcoming railway projects in Gujarat, including a new train between Porbandar and Rajkot, coach maintenance facility of Rs 135 crore at Ranavav station, a railway flyover in Porbandar city, two speed power cargo terminals and an upcoming port in Bhavnagar. The minister said that many new projects have been started in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, in both the states, governments with double engine are rapidly carrying on projects. Vaishnav claimed that 34,000 km of new railway tracks have been laid in the 11 years of the Narendra Modi government. About 12 km of new tracks are being made every day in the country. He said that 1,300 railway stations are being redeveloped in the country, which has never been done before. Till date no one has done such a big job.
Trains are being constructed with new technology
Said that when railway stations are renewed in developed countries, all stations and trains are closed and done in a systematic manner. Minister Vaishnav said that there is a huge population here, and all have expectations that work should go ahead, trains and redevelopment of stations. Keeping all these challenges in mind, Modiji today has a big vision regarding the renovation of these stations. The Union Minister also talked about trains Vande Bharat Express, Amrit Bharat Express and Namo Bharat Express launched by the Modi government. He said that till now eight Amrit Bharat trains have been started. Among them, there are facilities like Vande Bharat trains, but the fare is low. These trains have been manufactured using new -age technology. You will be surprised to hear the sentiments expressed by the passengers using these trains. Union ministers Mansukh Mandavia and Nimbane Bambhania were also present on the occasion.
