The incident took place on Sunday (March 23) at 1:40 pm at the City Halbo Valley College seat in Calgary.
In the viral video, it can be seen that the attacker named Bradon Joseph Joseph James French, a resident of Calgary, suddenly attacked the woman. First he snatched the woman’s water bottle and threw water on her face, then grabbed her jacket and put her jacket in the glass wall and started shaking in a violent manner. Along with this, he started trying to snatch his mobile phone from the woman. The victim made noise, but no one at the station helped her.
Calgary police arrested accused
After some time the attacker escaped from there without snatching the phone, after which the victim woman informed the Calgary police about the incident. The police, with the help of eyewitnesses, caught the attacker in just half an hour and took him into custody.
Angry anger after the video went viral
After the video surfaced, there was tremendous resentment among the people on social media and questions started raising questions about racism in Canada. However, the Calgary police clarified that the attack was not inspired by racial discrimination. According to the police, their diversity resource team is in touch with the victim woman and is being provided necessary assistance.
