Sharda Muralitharan shared his childhood experiences and told how he was made less than his black color. they wrote, “As long as my children did not realize that black color is also beautiful, I kept assessing myself less.”

Who is Sharda Muralitharan?
IAS Sharda Muralitharan is a 1990 batch officer and became the Chief Secretary of Kerala in September 2024. Before him, her husband Dr. V. Venu was in this position. She was the director of the Kudumbashree Mission of the Government of Kerala from 2006 to 2012, which aims to empower women and eradicate poverty. After this, he worked as the Chief Operating Officer in the National Rural Livelihood Mission of the Government of India till December 2013. From 2014 to 2016, she was a joint secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and played an important role in promoting Gram Panchayat Development Schemes (GPDP).
