Immigration and Foreigners Bill 2025: Home Minister Amit Shah said in the Lok Sabha that through this law, every foreign national coming to the country will be recorded.

What Shah: The Immigration and Foreigners Bill 2025 was passed in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. On this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah responded in the House and said that this law is very important for the security of the country. He clearly said that India is not a Dharamshala, where anyone can come and live without permission.

Major provisions of bills

This new law includes many strict provisions related to the entry and tracking of foreign nationals.

  • Valid passport and visa will be mandatory for coming to India
  • Provision of strict punishment has been made on fake documents
  • Even after the visa period is over, the people living in the country will be monitored

Home Minister Amit Shah said in the Lok Sabha that through this law, every foreign national coming to the country will be accountable. He said, “The aim of this bill is not only security, but also to ensure the economic development of the country.”

The Home Minister said in the House that India has become the fifth largest economy in the world and is going to become a global hub in the field of manufacturing and business in the coming times. He said, “This bill is very important to give our universities a global identity and to make the country the highest by 2047.”

CAA mentioned, Amit Shah spoke on refugees

Home Minister Amit Shah also mentioned the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said that India has always given protection to refugees. He said, “When the Parsi community could not go anywhere in the world, India adopted them and they are still safe. Similarly, six tortured communities under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been given citizenship under CAA.”

Strict warning given to Rohingya and illegal Bangladeshis

Home Minister Amit Shah took a tough stand on Rohingya and illegal Bangladeshis and made it clear that illegal people in India would not be tolerated. He said, “Those who come from business, education and other legitimate objectives are welcome, but if someone comes to India for disturbance or vested interests, strict action will be taken against them.”
