MBA answer sheets missing in Kerala University, uproar over the decision of re -exam

A dispute has arisen in the state due to the disappearance of 71 MBA students’ answer sheets from a teaching faculty at Kerala University.

Thiruvananthapuram: A dispute has arisen in the state due to the disappearance of 71 MBA students’ answer sheets from a teaching faculty at Kerala University. Opposition UDF described it as an example of mismanagement and excessive politicization of the higher education sector. 202-24 batch the third semester examination disappeared after the answer books of the subject “Project Finance” were handed over to the faculty for evaluation months ago.

Leader of the Opposition VD Satisan on Saturday accused the university of covering the issue by delaying the results even after completion of the syllabus. Responding to the allegations, Higher Education Minister R Bindu admitted that the faculty’s action is equal to “gross negligence” and assured that the government would initiate legal action against him. He told the media on Saturday that the government is taking the matter very seriously. The university will raise this issue before the state police chief.

The minister said that the disappearance of answer sheets could be a part of a “planned” step. Bindu said, “The faculty member remained silent the whole time, which reflects the serious lapse on his behalf. Satishan alleged that the disappearance of the answer sheets is another example of how the” mismanagement and politicization “of the government has damaged the higher education sector. He said that the lost books have been uncertain.

Penaling students unacceptable for the mistake made by the university

The Leader of the Opposition said that the university has now asked the students to take the examination conducted 10 months ago. It is unacceptable to punish students for the mistake made by the university. The incident came to light when the faculty member of Palakkad informed the university officials that the answer sheets had disappeared from him during the bike journey.

As the dispute escalated, faculty member Pramod on Saturday blamed the university’s practice that teachers are allowed to evaluate answer sheets from home. He said that I am ready to fight legally on this issue. Meanwhile, the students have expressed outrage over the university’s decision to conduct the examination again after the disappearance of the answer sheets.
