Delhi Drugs Smuggling: The Delhi Police and Narcotics Control Bureau has got a major success under the central government campaign against drugs in Delhi. Acting on a small input, the joint team of police and NCB has revealed a large gang of drug smuggling spread from Delhi-NCR to Haryana and Punjab. In this operation, the police arrested five gang members and recovered 27.4 kg high quality drugs from them.
There was supply to school-college and rave parties
According to the police, this drugs were to be supplied for vendors and rave parties living around the school-college. The arrested smugglers include four Nigerian citizens and one Indian youth. More than 20 people are feared to be involved in this gang, which the police is engaged in identifying.
Network of gangs spread to four states
Police investigation has revealed that this gang extends from Delhi to Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. Two days ago, NCB was reported to have reached a large consignment of drugs in Chhatarpur area. On this input, Delhi Police and NCB team laid a trap and arrested four Nigerian smugglers present in a van with a consignment.
Operation lasted 48 hours, drugs worth crores recovered
During the arrest, the police recovered 5.103 kg of crystal mainfetamine, which is said to be Rs 10.2 crore. During interrogation, the smugglers revealed that this is only a small part of the consignment and the rest of the drugs have been kept on the locations of Tilak Nagar and Greater Noida. After this, in the operation that lasted for 48 hours consecutive hours, the police also arrested an Indian youth by recovering a large amount of drugs from these two places.
