PM ways: It has been agreed to settle the overall economic partnership between India and the cheela. This important decision was taken in a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and President of Cheela, Gabriel Borich Font, who came on an official visit to India. Under this agreement, both countries will explore new business and investment opportunities, as well as promote critical minerals, food security and technical cooperation.
During the meeting, the two countries also agreed to cooperate in mining and production of precious minerals used in state -of -the -art technology -based industries such as electric vehicles, solar energy, semiconductor and robotics. It is noteworthy that as the largest country in the world in copper and lithium production, Cheela is positive about cooperation with India in this region. Under this, an important agreement has also been reached between the two countries.
Chile is ready for Indian investment
President Borich clarified that Cheela wants Indian investment in his mining sector. In a joint press conference, PM Modi described Cheela as an important friend country and said that there is immense potential for trade and investment cooperation between India and Cheela.
He said, “We have identified new areas of cooperation for the coming decade. We have instructed our parties to start a discussion on the overall economic partnership agreement. Especially our partnership in the field of critical minerals will be further strengthened. Also, cooperation between the two countries will also be promoted to ensure food security.”
India’s growing interest in Antarctica
During the meeting, PM Modi also mentioned India’s interest in Antartica. President Borich has visited Antarctica last year and in this context, he also invited PM Modi to come to Antartica.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, India is interested in Antartica as this area is considered important for climate change research. Also, there is a possibility of huge reserves of critical minerals here. PM Modi said, “We consider Cheela to be the gateway of Antartica and welcome to strengthen cooperation in this important field.”
After FTA talks with Peru, now pay attention to Chile
Significantly, two weeks ago, India started talks with South American country Peru on the free trade agreement. Now promoting cooperation with Cheela can prove to be strategically important for India.
President Borich also met President Draupadi Murmu during his visit to India. After a bilateral meeting in New Delhi, he will visit Agra, Bangalore and Mumbai. This journey is considered to be the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral relations between India and Cheela.
