Congress’s new decree, if you want tickets, there should be tremendous following on social media

Bihar Congress: If these conditions are strictly implemented, then none of the 19 MLAs, including the party’s state president and the leader in the assembly, have the ability to get tickets.

Bihar Congress: Prior to the proposed assembly elections in Bihar this year, the top leadership of the Congress has fixed a unique and strict condition for the candidates. Now the party ticket will be available only to those who will have a strong presence on social media. This decision is creating new problems for the Bihar Congress, because most of the current 19 MLAs do not live up to this scale.

Three platforms, different goals

According to the party’s instructions, the claim of the assembly ticket will be accepted only if there are at least 1.30 lakh on Facebook, 50 thousand on X and the minimum 30 thousand followers on Instagram. The same conditions will also apply to become members of the district committee.

19 MLAs may also be out

If these conditions are strictly implemented, then none of the 19 existing MLAs including the state president of the party and the leader in the assembly are qualified to get tickets. This decree was given by the Chairman of the Central War Room of the Congress and former IAS officer Shashikant Senthil in a meeting held at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna on 7 April. During this time, he also explained ways to increase followers and also shared a helpline number for any kind of problem.

Talking about the social media analysis of Bihar Congress, only a few leaders live up to this standard. Kanhaiya Kumar is at the forefront of 44 lakhs on X and 14 lakh on Facebook, but he is not an MLA. Former president Akhilesh Prasad Singh has 3.71 lakh followers on Facebook and 27.2 thousand followers on X.

Status of state president and other leaders

Newly appointed state president Rajesh Kumar has 1.34 lakh followers on Facebook, but only 4,530 on X. Ajit Sharma has 24 thousand followers on Facebook and 8,126 on X. In the assembly, Congress Legislature Party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan follows 13 thousand people on Facebook and only 8,634 people on X.

Party’s official handle is also weak

The party’s official social media accounts are also behind in this challenge. Bihar Congress has got only 2.49 lakh followers on Facebook and 1.58 lakh followers on X.
