When the Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu was asked about this incident, he said that this incident is in the notice of the Ministry. We will take further action on this matter. Talking about it at an event in the capital Delhi, he said, “If any such incident has happened, we will definitely take action on it”.
What happened?
According to the information, this incident happened in business class. The victim passenger is said to be a senior officer of a big company, he was sitting on his seat when another passenger sitting next to him allegedly urged him. After the incident, the crew members present in the flight immediately took action and tried to calm the case. Local authorities were informed when the flight reached Bangkok, but the victim refused to file a formal complaint.
What did Air India react to the incident?
An Air India spokesperson issued a statement saying, “On 9 April 2025, the Crew received a complaint of rude behavior of a passenger in flight AI-2336 from Delhi to Bangkok. Our crew followed all the prescribed procedures and was informed to the concerned authorities.” The spokesman also informed that the matter will be placed before the Independent Committee, which will decide further action on it.
Such incidents have happened before
This is not the first time that such an incident has happened in Air India flight. In November 2022, a drunken passenger urinated a female co -passenger in a flight going from New York to Delhi. In addition, in June 2023, a passenger on the Mumbai-Delhi flight defecated and urinated on the floor floor. These incidents had damaged the credibility of the airline and demanded strict rules.
