UP Bomb Threat: On Monday night, a threatening message was received on the official e-mail of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, which said, “Increased people’s safety, otherwise the Ram temple will be blown up with a bomb.”
UP Bomb Threat: In many districts of Uttar Pradesh, there has been a stir in the administration due to the bomb threatening e-mail on the official e-mail addresses of the District Magistrates. Along with this, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya has also received threatening e-mail, threatening to bomb the Ram temple. After these incidents, the police and cyber cell have started investigation, and security arrangements have been tightened in many districts.
Ram Mandir Trust threatened: “Increase temple security”
On Monday night, a threatening message was received on the official e-mail of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, which said, “Increased Lo Temple, otherwise Ram temple will be blown by bomb.” After this e-mail, a high alert was issued in Ayodhya. On the complaint of the trust, an FIR has been lodged at the cyber police station of Ayodhya, and the cyber cell is investigating the case intensively. According to sources, this e-mail has been sent in the English language by an unknown person from Tamil Nadu.
A widespread search operation was conducted in Ayodhya after the threat. Monitoring has been increased through drone systems and CCTV cameras in the Ram temple complex and surrounding areas. Security agencies are taking the matter seriously, as this is not the first time that the Ram temple has been threatened with targeting. Earlier, a similar threat was received in September 2024.
District magistrates of 10-15 districts threatened
Apart from the Ram temple, the District Magistrate offices of at least 10-15 districts of Uttar Pradesh have also received threatening e-mails to bomb. These include districts like Barabanki, Firozabad, Chandauli, and Aligarh. In these e-mails, the collectorate premises have been threatened with bombing. According to the information, these e-mails also appear to be sent from Tamil Nadu, and the cyber cell is engaged in finding their source.
Alert in Aligarh Collectorate
Aligarh District Collectorate has also received an e-mail threatening to blow up. After this threat received on the official e-mail of the District Magistrate, the police and administration immediately swung into action. The collectorate premises were evacuated, and all the gates were closed. Dog squads, bomb disposal squads, and other teams are investigating the campus. All departments have been temporarily closed. However, no suspicious item has been found yet.
Barabanki threatened fake
After investigating the threat of bombing the District Magistrate’s Office in Barabanki, the police has called it fake. The bomb squad and police investigated the Collectorate premises, but no suspicious item was found. Similar threats are under investigation in Firozabad and Chandauli.
Police and cyber cell action
After the threatening e-mail, the Uttar Pradesh Police has increased vigilance in Ayodhya, Barabanki, Aligarh, and other affected districts. Cyber cell has been entrusted with the responsibility of detecting the IP address and source of these e-mails. A senior police officer from Ayodhya said that the cybercrime unit is being coordinated with the cybercrime unit there to investigate these e-mails sent from Tamil Nadu.
Threats have been received before
Ram temple has received threatening messages many times before. A threatened e-mail was received in September 2024, and in early 2024, Khalistani terrorist Pannu and Maksood Ansari of Bihar also threatened to target the temple. After these incidents, the security system in Ayodhya was further strengthened.
Administration statement
The police officers of Ayodhya have appealed to the public not to pay attention to rumors and to maintain peace, while the District Magistrate of Aligarh said that the threat is being investigated seriously, and strict action will be taken against the culprits. Cyber cells and central agencies are also investigating in this case from the angle of terrorist conspiracy. The threatening person has described himself as an “in-charge of Tamil Nadu ISI Sale” in an e-mail, after which the security agencies have become more alert. At present, search operations and cyber investigation are going on in all affected districts.
