Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it is necessary to reorganize the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board. Said that the board will be enabled to deal with the environmental challenges of the new era. There will be efforts to reduce the disposal of no objection application for red, orange and green category from 120 days to 40, 25 and 10 days respectively.
He has said that since the formation in 1995, there has been a widespread change in the activities, field, functioning of the Pollution Control Board. In view of the requirements of the changing times, they should be changed. Reviewing the works of Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that currently 75 districts of the state have 28 regional offices. They should be reorganized on 18 mandals, along with one office in each district.
He said that more than one regional offices can be built in the circles where there are more industrial activities. The Chief Minister said that for proper solutions to the environmental challenges of the new era, solid waste management, liquid waste management, hazards waste, e-waste, biomedical waste management cell should be formed in the board.
No objection application related to industries should be disposed of in a short time
Similarly, special units should also be formed for the use of IT and Artificial Intelligence for Public Grievance Redressal Studies for Research and Development, Environmental public awareness and publication. In the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed the need to reduce the time of disposal of no objection application (CTO/CTE) related to industries.

He said that no objection application for red, orange and green category is being disposed of in 120 days, it should be done in 40, 25 and 10 days respectively. He said that the process of appointment to vacant posts should be carried forward rapidly. It would be better that the efficient youth of prestigious technical institutions like IITs etc. be appointed on good package.
In this regard, a decision should be taken at the board level as per rules. The Chief Minister also said that there has been no change in no objection and consent fees after the year 2008. Necessary changes should be made in this regard by intensive consultation by the board.
