BSP turned to brotherhood to join OBC

Concerned with its decreasing support base, the BSP will re -implement its successful ‘Bhaikhara Committee’ experiment. With this experiment, the party will also try to save its shattered vote bank.

Lucknow: Concerned with its decreasing mass base and scattered vote bank, the BSP will re -implement its ‘brotherhood committee’. The BSP will re -implement its successful ‘brotherhood committee’ experiment to join OBC before the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The ‘Bhaikhara Committee’ was first started before the 2007 election. It will be created in 403 assemblies of the state and will connect 100 people associated with other backward castes (OBCs). These 100 people will work as party ambassadors at the booth level.

Formation of OBC brotherhood committees in all districts of the state

Through these OBC brotherhood committees, the party wants to connect its scattered rural vote bank with blue flags and elephants in every village and also to find a reply to the stakes of the Samajwadi Party’s PDA. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) state president Vishwanath Pal said in a conversation with PTI-Bhasha that the BSP has formed OBC brotherhood committees in all the districts of the state. Two organizational convenors have been appointed in each district. District president and in -charge have been appointed. He says that one of these district presidents and in -charge is from the Dalit community and the other is from the OBC.

The state president said that these officials are now constituting OBC brotherhood committees in all 403 assembly constituencies of the state. He said that these officials are going from village to village among people. He has started the work of spreading the policies of BSP in rural areas. So that people of OBC society and other poor and minority society can also join this brotherhood committee and in the upcoming 2027 UP assembly elections, BSP can regain power like 2007.

SP is fooling OBC community in the name of PDA: BSP state president

He said that the assembly in -charge will form a group of 100 people of OBC in every village and make trained workers by giving them information about party programs and policies. Trained workers will also be made an active member of the party. The BSP state president said that during the party’s campaign, people in every village are being made aware of the “anti-Dalit” strategy of Congress, BJP and SP as well as “deceit” being made by them. Asked if it is inspired by the PDA formula of the Samajwadi Party, Pal retaliated and said that the SP is fooling the OBC community in the name of PDA. SP’s PDA means ‘Family Development Authority’.

Said that the PDA SP has a brief name given by the backward picket minorities. He alleged that the Yadav society has the biggest stake in the OBC, but the SP did not give a party ticket to anyone of the Yadav community, except family members in the Lok Sabha elections. The Yadav society votes for the Samajwadi Party in large quantities, but when it comes to the ticket, the SP chief see only wife, brother and nephew. Pal hoped that the OBC brotherhood committees will once again work hard and succeed in bringing the BSP back to power in Uttar Pradesh.

Along with Dalit society, other backward classes and minorities are also being added

He said that in 2007, Mayawati formed the brotherhood committee of all classes, after which the BSP formed the government in 2007 with an overwhelming majority. The party won 206 out of 403 assembly seats. The BSP state president said that after the instructions given by party chief Mayawati last month, the workers are going to every assembly constituency of the state and giving detailed information about the work done during the BSP rule to other backward classes and minorities.

He said that history will once again be repeated and Mayawati will become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the fifth time in 2027. From 2007 to 2012, the people of the state have seen the BSP government doing justice to everyone. Then saw the hooliganism of Samajwadi Party from 2012 to 2017 and now the public is watching the communal government in the state since 2017. At present, there is only one member of the party in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Perhaps that is why political experts believe that this time the BSP, which has been going through the worst phase since its inception, is very cautious about the 2027 election and is re -implementing the successful brotherhood experiment.

Ravikant, a Dalit thinker and professor of the Hindi department of Lucknow University, says that if the BSP chief confines these OBC brotherhood committees to other backward classes and Dalits, then it will definitely get success. However, if these committees are also included in the upper class Brahmins and Thakurs, then the BSP may have to stay away from power once again because this class takes advantage of the BSP but gives its vote to the BJP. Political experts also believe that this will be possible only when the BSP will emerge as a strong option in the 2027 election.

Bahujan society still deprived of constitutional benefits of reservation

BSP supremo Mayawati had said in a state level special meeting of the BSP last month that the people of Bahujan society are deprived of the constitutional benefits of reservation in the same way as reservation for Dalits has been made almost ineffective by tying it to various new rules and laws. He had instructed the party workers that on the basis of mutual brotherhood, a new strong campaign should be launched to further strengthen the resolve to gain the master’s key of power by organizing all parts of ‘Bahujan Samaj’ and by making political power. Mayawati had said that people should be made aware about the “anti -Dalit” and “anti -OBC strategy” of Congress, BJP and SP.
