New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the education system plays an important role in preparing the youth for the future of the country. The government is working to modernize it. Addressing the Yugam Innovation Conclave at Bharat Mandapam here, Modi highlighted India’s leading position in AI. He said that the education system plays an important role in this preparation and underlines efforts to modernize India’s education system to meet the needs of the 21st century. The new National Education Policy has been launched keeping in mind the global education standards.
Said- Educational institutions, investors and industries support researchers
Underlining the importance of meeting the target of a developed India within the next 25 years, the Prime Minister said, “It is important that the journey from thought to prototype is completed in the shortest time.” He insisted that by reducing the distance from laboratory to market, people ensure rapid delivery of research consequences, motivated researchers and get concrete incentives for their work. He said that this accelerates the cycle of research, innovation and value promotion. The Prime Minister called for a strong research ecosystem. Educational institutions, investors and industry urged to support and guide researchers.

India’s first indigenous MRI machine told achievement
He said that today’s youth are not only excellent in research and development, but are also ready to emphasize the transformational contribution of the younger generation of India for research in various fields. Modi appreciated unprecedented achievements like “Brain on a chip” technology capable of storing and processing data in more than 16 thousand conduction stages developed by scientists in Bangalore and molecular film. He highlighted and appreciated the development of India’s first indigenous MRI machine a few weeks ago.
Science and Technology became the medium of service
Modi commented that science and technology should also work as a medium of service. He commented on the development of national curriculum framework, teaching materials and new textbooks from classes one to seven. The Prime Minister highlighted AI-based and scalable digital education under PM e-Vidya and Diksha platforms. Due to which modern education is getting and new avenues of career are opening. He emphasized the importance of strengthening India’s research ecosystem to achieve national goals and highlighted the gross expenditure on research and development from Rs 60,000 crore to Rs 1.25 lakh crore in 2013-14, establishing state-of-the-art research parks and construction of research and development cells in about 6 thousand higher education institutions.
India’s future will change with talent and technology
Said that the trinity of talent, nature and technology will change the future of India. The Prime Minister highlighted initiatives like Atal Tinkering Labs, whose 10,000 laboratories are already on. Said that India’s innovation is to motivate large -scale private investment in ecosystem and to speed up commercialization pipelines through research in leading technology. The conferences to be held in the future will also include high -level round table meetings and panel discussions, which will include top leaders of government officials, industry and educational world.
