WB President Meets PM Modi: World Bank President Ajay Banga met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. The meeting took place after India’s decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Banga will meet Yogi in Lucknow

After meeting Prime Minister Modi, Ajay Banga will visit Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow on Friday, where he will meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. According to a statement by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, “Ajay Banga’s visit shows the rapid development of Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and increasing interest globally. The state is fast forward towards its ambitious goal of becoming a $ 1000 billion economy.”

Visit to beekeeping center in Barabanki

Ajay Banga will take part in several meetings and programs at the Taj Hotel in Lucknow on Friday. During this time, there will also be a round table meeting with stakeholders in the presence of Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. After this, he will meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his residence and will join the dinner. According to the statement, World Bank chief will go to Barabanki from Lucknow, where he will visit the beekeeping center in Rajauli and meet women self -help groups (SHG). After this, he will leave for Delhi by taking part in the scheduled programs in Taj Hotel.
