Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra said that we are working to make the areas around the Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple more attractive and beautiful.
New Delhi: Tourist places in Delhi will be made more attractive, so that more and more tourists can be attracted. If they come here, they can feel relaxed in a beautiful environment. The Delhi government is planning to improve the premises of major monuments including the Red Fort, Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar by applying street furniture such as attractive lights, benches, beautiful environment and shady seating places. The purpose of this initiative is to improve the overall tourist experience by making these inheritance areas more accessible, welcome and comfortable.

Beautification will also include removing encroachment, transporting traffic and ensuring better walking facilities. Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra said that we are working closely with the Tourism Department officials to convert the areas around the Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple into more walkable and pleasant places. The idea is not only to make the surrounding area beautiful, but to make them more functional, safe and tourist-friendly. We are planning to put attractive street lights, benches and sheds, remove encroachments and apply proper traffic signals and signals to protect visitors from sunlight.
A new tagline will be selected for Delhi soon
Said that the government is also preparing to start a city branding campaign. Mishra said that an agency will be appointed soon for the project and a new tagline for Delhi will be selected. In 2013, the Congress -led Delhi government organized a public competition to choose a tagline for the city. The tagline ‘Dildar Delhi’ was elected and the participant Amit Anand won a prize of Rs 50,000 to create it.

Government will organize talent search competition to connect youth
To add more to the youth, Mishra said that the government is planning to organize a talent search competition, in which about 20 youth will be selected and they will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, in which big forum judges like Indian Idol are expected to join the panel. Delhi has 174 heritage and tourist destinations, including three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, many Bawdians (Baoli) and many less famous monuments. Through this afresh focus on tourism, the government expects to make these historical treasures into the headlines.
