RCP Singh joins Jan Suraj Party in Bihar

Before separating from the Chief Minister, both Prashant Kishore and RCP Singh were in JD (U) of Nitish Kumar. Former political strategist Kishore was the national vice president of JD (U) until he was expelled in 2020.

Patna: Prashant Kishore and RCP Singh, former associates of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, joined hands on Sunday. The two leaders vowed to contest elections against their guru in the assembly elections to be held in a few months. Former Union Minister Singh announced the merger of his party ‘AAP’ formed six months ago with Kishore’s Jan Suraj Party. Before separating from the Chief Minister, both Prashant Kishore and RCP Singh were in JD (U) of Nitish Kumar.

Both will make Bihar developed states

Former political strategist Kishore was the national vice president of JD (U) headed by Nitish Kumar until he was expelled in 2020. While RCP Singh was a former bureaucrat who worked as the Principal Secretary to the CM of Bihar. Singh also held major organizational positions in the party and even led it for some time. But Singh was forced to resign in 2022. RCP Singh joined BJP in 2023 after leaving JD (U). Singh said at a function here that both of us will work together to make Bihar a developed state.

New government will be free from crime, corruption and communalism

Kishore said that this is a political alliance. He said that the people of Bihar are now entitled to such a government which should work for the overall development of the state. Kishore said, “We both will work together and will form a new government in the upcoming assembly elections. Our focus will be on forming a new government in the state which will be free from ‘3C’-crime, corruption and communalism. He accused Nitish Kumar, the longest Chief Minister of Bihar, of running his government through some retired bureaucrats and four-five JD (U) leaders.

JD (U) Now sinking boat: Prashant Kishore

Said that Nitish Kumar does not know what is going on in the state. The government and JD (U) are being run by some retired bureaucrats and four-five ‘contractors’ (leaders). These ‘contractors’ are misusing power and acting like vultures. Kishore claimed that JD (U) is now a sinking boat. He said that its workers should leave the party. The teenager coming from Nalanda said that JD (U) workers should leave the party. Singh, who lives in the Chief Minister’s hometown, was an IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre and he came in contact with Nitish Kumar for the first time while on central deputation, when the JDU chief was Railway Minister in 1999.
