Delhi Police will get rid of your child’s addiction

Police will make videos with the help of AIIMS professional consultants. Through these videos, psychological and physical symptoms of drug use will be given in adolescents.

New Delhi: The Delhi Police has become serious about the increasing drug addiction among the teenagers. Delhi Police believes that child crimes are increasing due to intoxication. Incidents of assault continue to come in schools in the coming days. In this episode, Delhi Police has taken the initiative to deal with the misuse of drugs among adolescents. Delhi Police will also join the parent-teacher meeting (PTM) to be held in schools. During this time, the police will make parents aware of the initial warnings and signs of drug abuse in their children.

Training will be given to identify students’ behavior

The police officer said on Monday that this initiative being started in collaboration with the Directorate of Education (DOE) is aimed at creating a comprehensive awareness structure at the school and community level to remove the increasing threat of drug addiction among the children going to school. A senior police officer said that Delhi Police has already organized training sessions for teachers of schools who have chosen the event, in which they have been designed to identify the behavior and psychological signs indicating drugs in students, especially adolescents. The official said that we recently partnered with the Directorate of Education and organized a training session for teachers, to help them understand how to identify the change in initial behavior in students consuming drugs.

Psychological and physical symptoms will be given through video

To give more support to this initiative, Delhi Police is discussing with the de -addiction center of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to include experts. The official said that with the help of AIIMS professional consultants, we are planning to make videos, who will give information about psychological and physical symptoms of drug abuse in adolescents. To ensure that the message accessible, reaching the parents in the visual format, they will be shown during PTM. Video will serve as the beginning of conversation between parents and teachers and will be prepared to show warning signals according to age. This program is for both government and private schools. Officials hope that it will be extended in the entire city in the coming months. He said that this initiative will help to bridge the gap between schools, families and law enforcement and promote a collaborative environment, where children will be better saved from the increasing danger of drug abuse.
