Manipur: Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, said on Friday that his group will invest 75 thousand crores for the development of the northeastern states. In the health sector, Reliance Industries will set up a 150 -bed Cancer Hospital in Manipur, so that people here can get better paying facility. Apart from this, 350 biogas will also invest on the establishment of the plant, telecom services, retail businesses and expansion of clean energy projects. Ambani was speaking at the ‘Rising Northeast Investors Summit’ held in Manipur on Friday. He said that his group would invest in factories for high quality domestic consumption products in the region and set up a 150 -bed cancer hospital in Manipur.
Employment opportunities will be generated more than 25 lakhs
He said that Reliance has invested about 30 thousand crore rupees in this area in the last 40 years. We will double the investment in the next five years with a target of Rs 75 thousand crore. Ambani said that this will create more than 25 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities. Mukesh Ambani said that they are making six commitments with Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. Retail farmers will increase income: Ambani
Ambani said that our northeastern region will move forward with talent in contact with technology and capacity. He said that in the field of clean energy, Reliance will consider to deliver the production of solar energy in the Northeast in a large scale.
Land will be made fertile by setting up biogas plant
He said that according to the approach to convert the waste into wealth, Reliance 350 will convert the huge barren land of the area into wealth land by setting up the 350 Integrade Compressed Biogas plant. This will convert organic waste into gas, which can be used in transportation and fuel in industries for fuel and cooking in the kitchen. Ambani said that the Group’s philanthropic branch Reliance Foundation will provide the best care of cancer in the northeast.
Reliance Foundation will set up Olympic Training Center
He said that in Guwahati we have built an advanced molecular diagnostic and research laboratory. We are ready to make the Northeast a healthcare center and research center. Ambani said that the Northeast is a treasure of world-class talents in different sports. The Reliance Foundation will set up an Olympic training center with all eight states, which will prepare our youth to be a medalist in the Olympics in the future.
