MLA Abbas Ansari sentenced to 2 years

During the last assembly elections, the decision was taken on Saturday in the case of haafteed speech and violation of election code of conduct. A fine of three thousand was also imposed with a sentence of two years.

Abbas Ansari, MLA from Mau city in Uttar Pradesh, did not get relief in the Hate Speech case. The court of Mau district sentenced Abbas Ansari to two years on Saturday in the Hate Speech case. Abbas Ansari appeared in Mau court at around 10:30 am. Before Abbas Ansari reached the court, the district administration had tightened the security system outside the premises. A large number of forces were deployed. During the last assembly elections, the decision was taken on Saturday in the case of haafteed speech and violation of election code of conduct.

A fine of three thousand was also imposed

CJM Dr. KP Singh had fixed the date of May 31 for the decision after hearing the arguments of the parties in the case. After the hearing, the court convicted Abbas Ansari in the case of violation of the code of conduct and sentenced him to two years. Along with this, a fine of three thousand was also imposed. The case is of the city Kotwali area. According to the prosecution, an FIR was lodged in the city Kotwali on the Tahrir of SI Gangaram Bind. In this, Sadar MLA Abbas Ansari and others were accused.

Threatened to teach a lesson to the administration from the stage

It was alleged that Abbas Ansari, who was contesting as a candidate of Subhaspa from Sadar assembly seat during the assembly elections on March 3, 2022, gave a Hate speech. During the public meeting at Paharpur Maidan in the city, he said that after the election, Mau administration will be sought an account. After this, the administration was also threatened to teach a lesson from the stage itself. Abbas’s partner Mansoor Ansari has also been sentenced in this case. Under Section 120B Bhadvi, he has been sentenced to six months and a fine of one thousand rupees.
