The MPs of opposition parties have been united to the demand for a special session to discuss Operation Sindoor and he has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been written by leaders of 16 opposition parties. It is important that the INDIA alliance of opposition political parties in Delhi on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 also held a meeting on this issue.
The leaders of which parties joined the meeting?
Leaders of many parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party and Shiv Sena (UBT) attended this meeting. Opposition leaders said that MPs of India Block have signed a letter addressed to Prime Minister Modi demanding a special session of Parliament. Congress’s Jairam Ramesh and Dipendra Hooda, TMC leader Derek O Bryan, SP’s Ram Gopal Yadav, RJD’s Manoj Jha and Shiv Sena (UBT) Sanjay Raut attended the meeting. DMK leaders also signed a letter to PM Modi. Opposition leaders said that the National Conference, CPI (M), IUML, CPI, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), Viduthalai Chiruthagal Kachi (VCK), Kerala Congress, MDMK, CPI (ML) Liberation have also signed the letter. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) did not participate in the meeting, but it will write a separate letter to the Prime Minister. However, the Nationalist Congress Party (SP) is not included in the parties seeking special sessions.
Why this demand is being made?
Many opposition parties have been demanding a special session of Parliament since the Pahalgam terror attack. This demand was also raised in an all -party meeting organized to inform MPs about Operation Sindoor. The Trinamool Congress has suggested that the session should be held in June after the multi -party delegation traveling to various countries to convey the attitude of India against terrorism.
