In the Lok Sabha, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has told the date of running bullet train from Maharashtra to Sabarmati. Ashwini Vaishnav has also shared the cost of this project.
Ashwini Vaishnaw: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that the entire bullet train project from Maharashtra to Sabarmati is expected to be completed by 2029. According to the news agency PTI, it was informed that the work of the Gujarat part of the bullet train corridor between Vapi and Sabarmati is planned to be completed by December 2027. At the same time, the entire project from Maharashtra to Sabarmati section is expected to be completed by December 2029. After questions asked by some members about the status of construction of this most ambitious project in the country, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed that Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project (508 km) is being prepared from Japan with technical and financial assistance.
Where will the project go through?
Ashwini Vaishnav said that the project will pass through Gujarat, Maharashtra and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and 12 stations are planned in Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati. Ashwini said in a written reply, “The Gujarat part of the corridor between Vapi and Sabarmati is planned to be completed by December 2027. The entire project (Maharashtra to Sabarmati section) is expected to be completed by December 2029.” He said that since it is a very complex and technically intensive project, its time-limit can be estimated only after the completion of all related works related to civil structures, tracks, electricity, signaling and telecommunications and supply of trainSet.
1,08,000 crore is cost
Ashwini Vaishnav said that the total estimated cost of the project is around Rs 1,08,000 crore, out of which Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is fining 81 percent i.e. 88,000 crore rupees and the remaining 19 percent i.e. Rs 19 percent i.e. Rs 20,000 crore will be fined by the equity contribution of the Ministry of Railway (50 percent) and Maharashtra (25 percent) and Maharashtra (25 percent) and Gujarat (25 percent) governments. He informed that till June 30, a total experience of Rs 78,839 crore has been done on this project. He further said, “The project has been affected by 2021 due to delay in land acquisition in Maharashtra. However, currently, the entire land (1389.5 hectares) has been acquired for the MAHSR project. The final place survey and land technical investigation have been completed and the allegation has been finalized, as well as all the constituency related to the wildlife, coastal regulations and the forest Has been done. “
