Thousands of doctors on five days strike in England

Thousands of doctors in England are on strike demanding an increase in salary. The Prime Minister Kir Stmper has appealed doctors to return to work.

Doctors in England on Strike: There is a huge crisis in England these days as thousands of doctors are on strike. According to the news agency PTI, thousands of doctors went on a five -day strike on the salary on Friday. The government says that this will disrupt the care of patients across the country. In the early stages of his career, the resident doctors, considered to be the backbone of hospital and clinic care, are staging a sit -in outside the hospitals after the conversation with the government failed. The National Health Service said that the emergency departments will remain open and the hospital and clinic will try to complete the prescribed appointment as much as possible.

Demand for salary increase

According to his union, British Medical Association, doctors are demanding an increase in salary to 20 percent from 2008 to compensation for the actual salary deduction. Dr. Melissa Ryan, Chairman of the Resident Doctor Committee of the Union and Dr. Ross Niuwoud said, “The decline in salary has now reached the extent that a doctor’s assistant can be paid up to 30 percent more than a resident doctor.” The government says that the doctors have received an average of 28.9 percent salary and will not pay more than this, but is ready to discuss better working conditions.

PM Kier’s stormer appeals appeals

The Prime Minister Kir Stmper urged doctors to return to work. He wrote in the Times newspaper, “Most people do not support these strikes. They know that they will cause real loss.” The stormer wrote, “There are patients behind the headlines whose life will be wasted by this decision. The frustration and disappointment of delay in necessary treatment. Even worse, late diagnosis and care that puts their long -term health at risk.” The health sector employees carried out continuous strikes for more than a year in 2023-24, demanding an increase in the cost of increasing living. Thousands of appointments and procedures had to be postponed due to strikes. These strikes affected the efforts to reduce the increased appointment backlog after the National Health Service after the Kovid-19 epidemic and had to wait for a long time to meet the doctor. The strikes stopped after the elected Labor Government was given salary hike in July 2024, but the union re -voted on strike last month.
