The Election Commission has released a draft list in Bihar today. In Bihar, till 24 June 2025 there were 7.89 crore voters of which about 65.64 lakh voters have been cut, that is, now 7.24 crore voters are left. The names of 65.64 lakh voters have been severed, 22.34 lakh deceased have been found in it.
SIR Row: In Bihar, the SIR i.e. special intensive revision was drawn in the ruling party and opposition, meanwhile, the Election Commission released the draft list of voters in Bihar. But before this, the opposition from Parliament to the road is besieging the government on this issue. The opposition wants the SIR to be discussed in Parliament, but the government is not ready to discuss it yet, the government says that this is the decision of the Election Commission, the government has nothing to do, whereas the issue has been discussed in the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Rahul Gandhi has accused the Election Commission that the Commission is stealing votes and not only this, Rahul Gandhi even said that the officials will not be released after retirement. Rahul Gandhi also said that if he has an atom bomb, then the Election Commission will not be seen anywhere. Rahul’s allegation has been described by the Election Commission as baseless and also said that when he calls him, he does not come. The Election Commission has appealed to all its employees not to pay attention to such statements. This quarrel between the Election Commission and the Opposition is going on, in the meantime, according to the time, the Election Commission has released a draft role on SIR in Bihar and the date of improvement has been fixed till 1 September. Now the voters can see their names in the draft and whose name is not included, they can get twisted. If you have a wrong name, you can get it cut. At the same time, if the political party sees a fake voter, then you can also complain to the Election Commission and get it cut.
The names of about 65 lakh voters have been cut
The Election Commission has released a draft list in Bihar today. In Bihar, till 24 June 2025 there were 7.89 crore voters of which about 65.64 lakh voters have been cut, that is, now 7.24 crore voters are left. The names of 65.64 lakh voters have been severed, in which 22.34 lakh deceased have been found, 36.28 lakh voters have migrated, 7 lakh voters have registered their names in more than one place and 1.2 lakh voters have not submitted their form. Bihar has 243 assembly seats and 90817 polling booths in 243 assembly seats. The data of every polling booth has been released. The opposition alleged that crores of people migrate from Bihar, not everyone has all the papers, mostly poor people and they migrate for the June 2 bread. The Election Commission has sought 11 documents which include birth certificate, passport, permanent address, caste certificate, educational certificate etc. It is obvious that not all people have all these things, but the Election Commission has assured help in getting all these documents under the pressure of the opposition. Even though the Election Commission has released the draft list, it is not necessary that everyone’s name may be in the draft list, there may also be some cuts or may also increase. The final list will come out on 1 September. The Election Commission is trying its best not to leave the name of a qualified voter?
In which district, many voters’ names were cut?
According to the Election Commission, the names of 65.66 lakh voters have been cut in which deceased voters, migrating voters and such voters who have registered their names in more places than one place. The maximum number of voters have been cut in Patna, Madhubani, Gopalganj and Motihari, 395500 in Patna, 352545 in Madhubani, 316793 in Motihari and 310363 voters in Gopalganj. The names of about 14 lakh voters have been cut in these four districts. While 244962 in Sitamarhi, 273920 in Purnia, 203315 in Darbhanga, 282845 in Mujpfarpur, 221711 in Siwan, 273223 in Saran, 225953 in Vaishali, 283953 in Samastipur, 244612 in Bhagalpur and 245663 voters have been cut in the name of 191663 voters and 1916663 in Gaya, 1916663 in Gaya Kininganj The names of 145668 voters have been cut in 145668, 131596 in Saharsa, 128207 in Supaul and 158072 in Araria. It is worth noting that the lowest vote has been cut in Shivhar 28166, 87645 in Buxar, 98076 in Madhepura, 30180 in Arwal, 91882 in Jamui, 74916 in Munger and 26256 in Sheikhpura. The question is that in some districts, the names of more than 3 lakh voters were cut, while in some districts less than 1 lakh votes were cut, it is difficult to reach a conclusion on what can rule behind it. However, it seems that the names of more voters are cut from where they do more migration? These questions had arisen that due to Bangladeshi and foreign voters, more voters may be cut in Muslim areas, but such trends have not been seen at the moment, while about 68 percent in Kishanganj, 43 per cent in Katihar, 42 per cent in Araria, 38 per cent in Purnia, 23 per cent in Darbhanga and 21 per cent in Sitamarhi, while 21 per cent of the voters are Muslim population, in East Champan, Gopalganj and Madhubani are the districts, in Gopalganj and Madhubani. The Muslim population is less than 20 percent. Now it has to be seen on which side politics in the draft list takes a turn and the opposition makes the issue a political weapon in these lists.
