PM Modi to address NDA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting on Tuesday. The NDA parliamentary party meeting has been called at a time when the monsoon session of Parliament is stalled and the opposition attacker. Through this meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not only give a clear strategy to MPs on current political issues, but can also give important messages about the upcoming Vice President elections and the image of the government. Also, this meeting can become a decisive moment towards strengthening the solidarity and leadership of the NDA.
Vice Presidential election strategy
This meeting of NDA is being held just before the nomination of the Vice Presidential post starting on 7 August. The NDA alliance has a clear majority in Parliament, in such a situation, the election of their candidate is being considered fixed. 21 August is the last date for nomination and the election is likely on 9 September if the opposition also fields its candidate.
PM’s response possible amid opposition attacks
No concrete functioning has been done in most of the time of Parliament session so far. The opposition is an attack on the government regarding the special revision process (SIR) of the Election Commission in Bihar. Also, the opposition is constantly raising questions on Pahalgam terror attack and operation vermilion. In such a situation, PM Modi can give direction to NDA MPs on these issues in his address.
PM’s honor on military answer is likely
According to sources, Prime Minister Modi can be honored by the NDA Parliamentary Party for the military action taken by the government after the Pahalgam attack. It will be an attempt to give the message that the NDA government is capable of giving ‘strong answers’ on terrorist incidents.
Trying NDA solidarity in changing equations
The BJP did not get an absolute majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, but the alliance with allies crossed the majority figure. After this, the parliamentary meetings of BJP were also opened for MPs of parties involved in NDA. On July 2, the first such extended meeting was held which was addressed by PM Modi. After that this is now the second important meeting.
Tradition to discuss issues and give direction to MPs
According to earlier experiences, PM Modi not only talks about the outline of the government’s policies in such meetings, but also gives directions on the issues that MPs have to raise in their respective areas. It will also include coalition colleagues, such as TDP, JDU, and LJP (Ram Vilas) MPs.
