Road Accident in Jaunpur: Five people, including a minor girl, were killed and 15 seriously injured in a face-to-face collision of a roadways bus and truck in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Police said on Wednesday that the incident took place near Guraini Petrol Pump in Khetasarai police station area at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday night. Superintendent of Police Dr. Kaustubh said that a two -year -old girl, two women and two men were killed in a collision with the roadways bus coming from Jaunpur and a truck coming from Shahganj. According to the police, the accident occurred due to the negligence of the bus driver, which turned the bus to the right and hit the truck. Devi Prasad (32), Ratan Lal (60), Jewel Devi (59), residents of Powai in Azamgarh district, died in a road accident. Efforts are on to identify the remaining two dead.
There were about 30 passengers in the bus
Superintendent of Police Dr. Kaustubh said that on receiving the information, police and administrative officials reached the spot and brought the injured to private and district hospitals. The condition of three of the 15 injured is critical, out of which two are undergoing treatment in the district hospital and one has been referred to Varanasi. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra and other officials visited the district hospital to meet the injured and get information about the incident. According to eyewitnesses, there were about 30 passengers in the bus. It is being told that due to the negligence of the bus driver, the bus went to the right and he collided strongly with the truck coming from the front. The left part of both vehicles was badly damaged. The station in -charge said that four people died on the spot in the accident, while many others were injured, who have been admitted to the nearest hospital.
Accident accident due to bus driver’s mistake
The serious injured have been referred to the district hospital. The police have started investigation by taking both vehicles in possession. Initial investigation is revealing the fault of the bus driver. The dead have been identified and their families have been informed. Poonam Vishwakarma (26) wife Brijesh, Priyal (2) daughter Brijesh, resident Nizampur police station Shahganj (Jaunpur), Gena Devi (56) wife Indal, resident Godhana police station Powai (Azamgarh), Devi Prasad (35) son Harihar Prasad (Jaunpur), Ratanlal (54) son Self. Khalautipur police station Khetasarai (Jaunpur), a resident of Ramharkh, has died. The police have registered a case against the deceased Poonam Vishwakarma’s father -in -law Pyarelal, resident of Nizampur police station Shahganj. The dead were sent for post -mortem. At the same time, the injured are being treated in Sadar Hospital Jaunpur.
