Maharashtra Politics: Asked if MVA allies would come together for local body elections, Chennithla said that the alliance may or not.

Maharashtra Politics: Ramesh Chennithala, in charge of Maharashtra Congress (Maharashtra Congress), has said that no decision has been made so far whether the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) constituents will contest the upcoming local body elections in the state or not. Asked if the colleagues of Maha Vikas Aghadi will contest these elections together, Chennithla said on Tuesday that the Congress will discuss the issue. Said that the alliance may “or not”. He also said that the Congress has no problem with joining hands with Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and his cousin and MNS chief Raj Thackeray. The Congress leaders were talking to reporters on the occasion of the two -day workshop organized by the party for their workers and office bearers here.

Possibility of election at the end of the year

It is to be known that in Maharashtra, elections are expected to be held in various local and municipal bodies including Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation later this year. Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP) fought the Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections together as part of MVA last year. Asked if MVA’s associates would come together for local body elections, Chennithla said that there may be or not. Ramesh Chennithla said that we have not taken any decision yet. Our political affairs meeting is planned, in which the issue of alliance will be discussed in detail. On the growing proximity between Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray, Chennithla said that the MNS is not part of the alliance.

All parties come together to save democracy: Aditya Thackeray

He said that we have no information about the alliance with Raj (MNS) cousin Uddhav Thackeray. I do not want to comment on a decision that has not been taken yet. This is his family matter. If both cousins join hands then we have no objection, but we have to take a political decision about whether there will be an alliance or not. When asked about Chennithla’s remarks, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA and Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray said that whatever will happen in the minds of the people of the state will be the same. He said that to save democracy in the country, all parties need to come together, because if there is no democracy, then no one will get a chance to raise their voice.
