However, since heavy rains, the humidity had disturbed the people. But today there may be light rain. Apart from the capital, rain alert has been issued in many states of North India. The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning for the hilly areas.
IMD released alert
During this time, IMD has hoped to receive light to moderate rains in the entire NCR including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be thunderstorms in the capital by August 21. With this, heavy rains can occur in UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Haryana today. Due to the continuous heavy rains, people are facing many problems. The risk of landslide has increased in hilly states.
Mumbai’s situation deteriorated
The financial capital Mumbai has been receiving heavy rains since late Friday night. The situation in areas like Andheri, Kurla and Chembur is very bad. Due to rain, people are getting late to go to office, so water is filled everywhere from many roads to railway tracks.
According to IMD, heavy rains are expected in Mumbai and Thane on August 16 and 17. Orange alert has been issued here.
Uttarakhand’s condition deteriorated
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for the hilly areas. In such a situation, IMD has issued an orange alert of heavy rains in Dehradun, Bageshwar and Nainital in Uttarakhand. Saturday i.e. today, there may be heavy rain in these states. Also, warnings have been issued in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Champawat and Pauri.

During this time, the Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious due to lightning shining and heavy rains. At the same time, there may be heavy rain on Sunday too.
