Delhi Police Commissioner: Delhi Police Commissioner (Delhi Police Commissioner) SBK Singh (SBK Singh) Has prepared the outline to promote three focus areas self -sufficiency, technology and promoting healthy competition for the police force. Taking inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address at the Red Fort, the Commissioner on Friday stressed the need to bridge the gap of faith with the public. The Delhi Police Commissioner said that despite working hard, we have not been able to win the trust of people in the way we should have won. Every policeman needs to transfer from ‘ruler Bhava’ (mentality of the ruler) to ‘Seva Bhava’ (spirit of service). He emphasized that citizens should believe in contacting the police without any hesitation.
Emphasis on self -sufficiency, technology and healthy competition
Police Commissioner Mr. Singh congratulated the officers, personnel and their families at a function held at the police headquarters Lawn at Jai Singh Road and appreciated the police force for ensuring the security arrangements during the Independence Day celebrations. In his address, the police chief insisted on the three major areas ‘self -reliance’, use of technology and promoting healthy competition. He said that he should be implemented in ‘Mission Mode’ in all units of force. On the subject of self -sufficiency, Police Commissioner Shri Singh directed all units to submit a proposal within 15 days to reduce dependence on external agencies for specific requirements like commandos, bomb disposal squads and communication equipment.
Congratulations to officers and personnel
Highlighting the increasing role of technology, he said that the police force should move further in areas such as monitoring system, cyber crime prevention, anti-drone measures and anti-terrorism preparations. He said that dedicated committees will be formed to study and submit recommendations within a month. Referring to the Prime Minister’s call to promote the spirit of healthy competition, Police Commissioner Shri Singh urged the personnel to adopt this principle at both personal and organizational levels and warned against jealousy within the ranks. On this occasion, Mr. Singh also congratulated the 18 Delhi Police Officers and personnel who were awarded the police medal for specific and commendable service.
