Truck hit tractor-trolley collision, 8 killed, 43 injured

UP Accident: CM Yogi has expressed condolences to the bereaved families. The Chief Minister has instructed the district administration officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and get them properly treated.

UP Accident: उEight people died and 43 were injured in a horrific road accident in Bulandshahr in Tatar Pradesh on Monday. Police reached the information immediately and started relief and rescue work and took the injured to the hospital. A truck hit the tractor-trolley carrying pilgrims in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district early Monday, killing eight people and injured 43. The dead were two minors, while the injured and 12 people hospitalized are under 18 years of age. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mourned the death of pilgrims. He directed the officials to ensure the best treatment of the injured. He also announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand to the injured.

Accident near Ghatal village of Arnia bypass

Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural) Dinesh Kumar Singh said that the accident occurred at around 2.10 am on Monday near Ghatal village of Arnia bypass on the Bulandshahr-Aligarh border, when the truck hit the tractor-trolley from behind, causing it to overturned. The police officer said that the victims were taken to the hospital. Singh said that eight people died, while 43 are undergoing treatment. Three injured have been placed on ventilator. Police said that 10 passengers had been marginally injured. The victims were taken to several hospitals for treatment. Among the injured, 10 are admitted to Aligarh Medical College, 10 Bulandshahr District Hospital and 23 Kailash Hospital in Khurja. According to the police, the deceased have been identified as tractor driver EU Babu (40), Rambeti (65), Chandni (12), Ghaniram (40), Makshi (40), Shivansh (6), Yogesh (50) and Vinod (45), who were all residents of Kasganj district.

CM Yogi expressed grief over the accident

District Magistrate Shruti along with Senior Superintendent of Police Singh and other senior officials visited the spot between drizzle and later interacted with the injured patients in a hospital. According to a post on X by the Chief Minister’s Office, Adityanath has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the dead. It has been said that the Chief Minister has instructed the district administration officials to take the injured immediately to the hospital and ensure their proper treatment. Also, they have wished the injured to recover quickly. Police said that the truck registered in Haryana has been confiscated and further legal action has been initiated. About 60 devotees of the village were riding in a tractor trolley. An accident happened as soon as Ghatal reached the village.
