Mayuri Congo had taken admission in IIT Kanpur, but luck pulled him towards films. In the year 1995, he made his Bollywood debut with Saeed Akhtar Mirza’s film ‘Nasim’. The film won two National Awards. Then in the year 1996, Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Papa Keh Hai’ and his songs ‘As soon as I left from the house, some distance away’ made Mayuri an overnight star.

Shine on silver screen

Mayuri Congo then worked with Ajay Devgan in the film ‘Hoga Pyaar Ki Jeet’ and Sanjay Dutt in ‘Jung’. In South, he worked with Mahesh Babu in the film ‘Vamsi’. However, despite working with big banners and big stars, Mayuri’s film career did not last as long as expected. Then in the year 2003, she married NRI Aditya Dhillon and shifted to America.
