Maratha Reservation: Pawar said that people have won us with an overwhelming majority. It is our constant effort to give them all the benefits and work for them.

Maratha Reservation: Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Thursday targeted the opposition, saying that the opposition recently tried to take political advantage of the Maratha reservation movement, but after the government resolved the issue, he became silent. Speaking at an event in Pune, he said that the Mahayuti government focuses on working for the welfare of the people. Activist Manoj Jarange, who launched his hunger strike in Mumbai on August 29, demanding Maratha reservation, on Tuesday withdrew it after the Devendra Fadnavis government accepted most of his demands. The government also issued an order to the members of the Maratha community while announcing the formation of a committee to issue the Kunbi caste certificate along with the historical evidence of their Kunbi heritage.

Opposition is silent if the government resolved the movement

Pawar said that people have won us with an overwhelming majority and our constant effort is that we should work for them by giving them all the benefits. Sometimes issues come up, but we always try to solve them in a cordial manner. Referring to the Maratha reservation movement, he said that the opposition who gets less votes is always looking for the opportunities to target the government. Some of them even tried to express their views by going to the press to take political advantage of what happened in Mumbai in the last three-four days. But the state government effectively responded to the movement, so the opposition became silent.

CM accepted most of the demands for reservation

The Chief Deputy Chief Minister of the ruling Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) said that some people are still expressing their views, but I would like to say that everything will be alright and there is no need to worry. Speaking about the upcoming local body elections in the state, Pawar said that urban body elections are close, district councils and panchayat committees are also likely to be held. It is known that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has accepted most of the demands of the hunger strike started by social activist Manoj Jarange. Due to which the opponents who bake political bread in the name of reservation movement were left with the plans. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that the Mahayuti government is working for the good of all the people of all classes. The Mahayuti government is going to bring more public welfare schemes.
