The statement said that this decision under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (DEPWD) It has been taken by the comprehensive guidelines issued by August 1, 2025. According to the guidelines, the Commission has decided to implement the provisions contained in it and abolish the provision of “writer”. The notice issued on Wednesday stated that it is clarified that for the PWDB (person with benchmark disability) candidates who deserve the benefit of the author’s services for SSC exams, such a writer will only be provided by the Commission.

All the examinations of the Commission will be implemented

The SSC said that this provision will be applicable to all the examinations of the Commission to be conducted after the issue of notice. This also applies to those examinations which are to be conducted from now on, for which the process of submission of application form has ended. It also shared a copy of the guidelines issued by DEPWD with notice. According to the DEPWD guidelines, if the author is allowed by the candidate refusing to use the technology, it will have to be provided by the examination bodies (EB). The guidelines states that examination bodies should encourage candidates to test freely using software-competent laptops, desktops, braille devices, large-print devices or recording devices.

Writer’s qualification is not less than 12th

The instructions stated that in cases where the candidate chooses a writer’s option rather than using technology, EB will provide strictly identified writers from their pool for assistance. It states that in cases where the candidate chooses a writer’s option rather than the use of technology, the author’s qualification should be at least “two academic years less” and maximum “three academic years less” to appear in that exam. For example, if the SSC is the minimum qualification graduate to appear in the joint graduate level examination, the author’s qualification may be in the first academic year (for the 3 -year course), but should not be less than the 12th grade, further in the guidelines.
