Now nine districts – Lucknow, Ballia, Gorakhpur, Agra, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Jhansi, Kanpur Nagar, Shahjahanpur and Prayagraj – will host the major IDTR.

Other 15 districts – Varanasi, Bareilly, Meerut, Moradabad, Aligarh, Mathura, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Banda, Mirzapur, Etawah, Saharanpur, Sitapur, Jaunpur and Bijnor – will get RDTC. These trainers will also work as academies, will conduct road safety research and set standards for other centers.
Driving license process will be simple
In contrast, RDTC will be small facilities spread over about 3 acres, which will be located close to citizens to meet the regional demand. These will offer preliminary training for new drivers, re -reciprocities for serving drivers, including buses, goods and school transport operators, dangerous goods handling modules and automated tests. Many centers will be operated under public-private partnership for rapid implementation and long-term stability. Officials insisted that both IDTR and RDTC will evaluate drivers on works such as automatic track parallel parking, reverse driving and starting on the hill, which will reduce human conscience and ensure fairness. Recognized certificates will be issued to successful candidates, which will simplify the driving license process. The government expects many benefits from this initiative, including better trained drivers, reduced domestic expenses from safe roads, less accidents, accidents and fuel waste, and better public transport and school security through certified buses and van drivers.
Skilled driver will be ready
These centers are also expected to create employment by preparing a series of skilled business drivers and trainers for logistics, mobility and electric vehicle sectors. Women and disabled citizens will also benefit, as this structure only allows women’s batch, female trainers and friendship facilities. Transparent fees structure, biometric appearance and digital dashboard will ensure accountability and eliminate middlemen. Transport Commissioner Brajesh Narayan Singh said that this initiative is a significant turn for road safety in the state. He told PTI that our mission is simple: making licensing fair, making training scientific and roads safe. Officials said that the work of identifying the appropriate land parcels and preparing a detailed project report will start soon, which will take 18 to 24 months.
