Violence in Nepal: Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu has been closed due to unrest in neighboring Nepal.

Violence in Nepal: In view of heavy violence and arson in Nepal, Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo and SpiceJet canceled their flights to Kathmandu on Wednesday. Due to which the air travelers had to face a lot of problems. Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu has been closed due to unrest in the neighboring country Nepal. Air India said in a statement that its flights visiting Kathmandu have been canceled on September 10 as the airport is still closed. We are closely monitoring the situation and will share further information. This airline owned by Tata group operates a total of 12 flights from Kathmandu. IndiGo said in a post on X that after extending the closure period of Kathmandu Airport, all the flights from the city will be canceled till 6 pm on September 10.

Rebate will continue till 12 September

IndiGo said that we fully understand the uncertainty arising from it and want to assure you that flexible options will be open. We will continue to exemption and cancellation for visits from Kathmandu by 12 September, which will be applicable to the booking made on or before 9 September or before. The airline said that while operations are stalled, our teams are actively coordinating with the officials concerned and are fully prepared to restore services as soon as permission. Air India Express canceled its services for Nepali city on Wednesday. The airline said in a statement that in view of the current situation in Nepal, we are providing support and flexibility to free the guests who have been booking to go to Nepal or to come from there by 17 September to reinstate their journey for any future travel date, in which the change fee or any rental differences will be completely waived.

Complete payment on cancellation of booking

The airline said that the guests who choose to cancel their booking for these dates, they will get full corresponding to their original payment mode or travel agent. Air India Express also said that its operation to and from Nepal will continue to be uninterrupted even after tomorrow. SpiceJet said on Tuesday that it was canceling her flights connecting Kathmandu for Wednesday. On Tuesday too, Indian airlines canceled some of their flights connecting Kathmandu. The Nepali army on Wednesday implemented a nationwide restrictive order in view of protests.
