Chhattisgarh changed: Bastar becomes a new industrial center

Chhattisgarh News: Maoism was becoming an obstacle in the development of Bastar. We have pledged that we will bring Bastar to the mainstream and make it the central axis of developed Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh News: Chhattisgarh on Thursday received investment proposals of more than Rs 967 crore from various sectors including healthcare, agriculture and food processing, which is likely to produce more than 2,100 jobs. These proposals were received during the ‘Bastar Investor Connect’ program at Jagdalpur, headquarters of Bastar district. At the inauguration of the program, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the Bastar region is at the center of his government’s new industrial policy, as it is rich in mineral resources and abundant natural wealth, which provides immense potential for development within itself. Maoism was becoming a hindrance in the development of Bastar. We have pledged that we will bring Bastar to the mainstream and make it the central axis of developed Chhattisgarh. The CM said that our brave soldiers and Bastar residents are fighting against Naxalism with courage and determination and today Bastar is moving forward on the path of writing a golden chapter of investment by eradicating the black history of Maoism.

Maoism eliminated by March 2026

He expressed confidence that Maoism will be eliminated by March 2026 and the Naxal -free Bastar will move further on the development path. His recent visit to Japan and South Korea to attract investment in Chhattisgarh is also an example of this. He said that the new industrial policy is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s good governance mantra “Demonstration, reform and change”. He said that in order to attract investment in Chhattisgarh, the new industrial policy has included provisions of grant and encouragement. He said that apart from Japan and South Korea, we have also organized investment summit in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Nawa Raipur. After the implementation of the new industrial policy, we have received an investment proposal of about 6.65 lakh crore rupees so far. He said that the new policy provides for special grants on the core sector with IT, AI, pharma, textile, electronics and green energy.

India’s first AI data center park becomes

Said that India’s first AI data center park has been built in Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar. He said that pharmaceutical parks, medicine and global capability centers are also being built here. New small industrial areas are being established in all districts and blocks of Bastar region. The Bastar region consists of seven districts. Such centers have been set up in Fraserpur and Geidam Road, Niyanar near Nagarnar (118 acres), Lakhanpuri in Kanker, Tekanar in Dantewada and Narayanpur. He said that the state government is setting up industrial areas in Sukma as well as Pakela, Fandiguda, Adaka-Repera and Kodoli villages of Bijapur in Kondagaon. Sai said that infrastructure projects including road construction and railway line laying in Bastar have gained momentum. The Chief Minister said that the work of Bodhghat dam project on Indravati river will start soon.
