GEN-Z Protest in Nepal: The Gen-Z group of youths leading anti-government protests in Nepal said on Thursday that Parliament should be dissolved and the constitution should be amended according to the wishes of the public. The death toll in demonstrations has increased to 34. Jane-Z protesters held a press conference here to express their views. While some of his representatives were busy discussing with President Ramchandra Paudel and Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel at the Army Headquarters to find a solution to the current political crisis. Speaking on the occasion, Jane-Z activists emphasized the need to find solutions through dialogue and cooperation. Representatives of Jane-Z group Diwakar Dangal, Amit Baniya and Junal Dangal were also involved in the press conference. He warned the old political parties not to use them for their vested interests.

Warn to political parties, do not do politics

A worker said that this is a completely civil movement, so do not do politics in it. Dangal said that we have a challenge to protect national sovereignty, unity and maintain self-esteem. All of us Nepalis should unite to protect the welfare and interests of the Nepali people in this difficult situation. Another worker said that Parliament should be dissolved and the constitution should be amended according to the spirit of the people. He said that we have no intention of canceling the Constitution, but we want some big amendments to be made keeping in mind the concerns of the people. Some activists supported former Chief Justice Sushila Karki for the post of new Prime Minister, while others supported Kulman Ghising, former CEO of Nepal Electricity Authority.

34 people died so far

Another worker said that they do not intend to handle the leadership of the country, but they just want to become a guards. We will not participate in the government, but we want to remain as a guards. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said that 34 people have died during the protests on Monday and Tuesday. According to the data of the ministry, 1,338 persons are undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country, while 949 have already been discharged. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned soon after entering the office of hundreds of agitators. The agitators were demanding at least 19 people’s resignation for the death of at least 19 people in police action during the Monday protest against corruption and ban on social media.
