Out of 781 MPs, 767 voted in this episode, out of which 98.2 percent polling was recorded in CP Radhakrishnan’s account.

Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also joined

It is worth noting that former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also attended this ceremony. Dhankhar has appeared for the first time today after resigning from the post of Vice President. Along with this, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge also attended the swearing -in ceremony. Along with this, leaders of opposition parties have also attended the oath ceremony. However, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi did not attend the swearing -in ceremony of the new Vice President as he is on a Gujarat tour.

Radhakrishnan resigns from the post of Governor

After winning the Vice Presidential election, CP Radhakrishnan resigned from the post of Governor of Maharashtra on Thursday. The President’s Office has shared information about this. In a statement issued by the President’s Office, it was said that President Draupadi Murmu has given the additional charge of the Governor of Maharashtra to Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat.

Elections won by so many votes

On July 21, Jagdeep Dhankhar suddenly resigned from the post of Vice President of India citing health reasons. Since then, elections for the post of Vice President were held on 9 September and in this CP Radhakrishnan defeated opposition candidate B Sudarshan Reddy by 152 votes and today he was sworn in as the 15th Vice President of the country.
