IND vs PAK Hand-shake Row: In the Asia Cup 2025, the dispute between India and Pakistan is not taking its name. A big drama was seen in Dubai on Wednesday, when the Pakistan cricket team refused to go to the ground from the hotel. Meanwhile, the match between Pakistan and UAE started with a delay of about an hour. On the other hand, the International Cricket Association (ICC) responded to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), taking a tough stand. The ICC said that the match referee Andy Picroft did not violate any rules.

Where did the Indo-Pak controversy start

The match was played between India and Pakistan on Sunday. During the toss, Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav did not handhek from Pakistani Captain Salman Ali Aga. Also, the team also exchanged the sheet. After this, the most shocking decision was that after the end of the match, no player of the Indian team joined hands with the Pakistani player. This step was taken by Team India to show solidarity towards the victims of Pahalgam terror attack. After this, Pakistan accused the match referee Andy Picroft in this case that he had asked Salman Ali Aga to escape from the handshake. At the same time, the captain of both the teams was also instructed not to give the team seat.

Pakistan refuses to go on the field

When the Pakistani team refused the Groswner Hotel in the match played against UAE, the matter deteriorated. After this, the ICC also dismissed the second complaint of Pakistan, after which the situation of Dolocaic arose. This is the reason that the match between the two teams started at 9 pm instead of 8. Match referee Andy Pychroft was present in the field during that time, but then he was brought to the ICC headquarters in security cordon.

Answer in six points

According to news agency PTI, the ICC responded in six points in writing to PCB. In the letter, the ICC wrote that the board has been investigated on the basis of PCB’s complaint. We have taken this report seriously, but have not put any documentary evidence or the statement of any player. The ICC also clarified that Pakistani players were asked to make a statement but they did not do so. Apart from this, the Cricket Association wrote in the second point that no evidence of action against the match referee is found. Also wrote in the third point that the decision of the match referee was in line with the clear instructions of the Asia Cricket Cup Venue Manager.

Along with this, the ICC has made it clear that the decision of Handshek has not been taken at the behest of the match referee. Rather, the tournament was taken by organizers and team managers. The ICC also said that if the complaint of Pakistan Cricket Board is about handshake, then they should go to tournament organizers.
