Startup Conclave: India’s Global Innovation Index (Global Innovation Index) has improved from 91 to 38. India will join the top 10 countries in the next three years.
Startup Conclave: At the startup conclave of the Gujarat government, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that India has made a big jump in the field of innovation. He said that in the last decade, India’s Global Innovation Index (Global Innovation Index) has improved from 91 to 38. Shah expressed confidence that India will join the top 10 countries in the next three years. Shah said that the positive results of the ‘Startup India’ campaign launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are now coming out. Today, India has become the third largest startup ecosystem in the world, which has made the youth of the country a job from those seeking jobs. He said that this achievement shows the talent of our youth and the ability of innovation. I am confident that India will play a leading role in global innovation in the coming years. In the conclave, he called upon the youth to become partners in the progress of the country through startups.

One of the major initiatives of the Government of India is Startup India Scheme
Shah said that the Startup India Scheme is a major initiative of the Government of India, which was launched in 2016 to promote innovation and create a strong startup ecosystem. So that India can be converted into a country that gives jobs from job seeking jobs. Shah said that in 2014 we had only 500 startups. Today we have 1.92 lakh startups registered with DPIIT (Department of Industry and Internal Trade Promotion). In 2014, we had four unicorn and now we have 120 such establishments whose joint market price is more than US $ 350 million. He said that today 52 percent of the total startups are in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. 48 percent of the total startups have been started by women. Startup Ecosystem has given employment to 17.90 lakh people. The Union Minister said that on an average 17,000 startups are being set up every year and 9,000 of them are in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. He said that the Startup India campaign has made our youth a job from job seekers.
Gujarat becomes the center of startup revolution
Shah said that at the inauguration of the Startup India Scheme, the government knew that it would not be successful if the proper environment was not created for it. He said that since 2014, financial, infrastructure, policy and banking assistance have been provided to startups across the country under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Fund of funds of Rs 10,000 crore have been created to help startups. To promote startups, the maximum loan limit has been increased from Rs 10 crore to Rs 20 crore and many tax concessions have also been given. He urged the leaders of the industry to invest in startups and said that one of them can become unicorn one day and increase your property. Shah further said that Gujarat has been leading the country in the startup sector for the last four years. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and his ministers and teams of government officials together have made Gujarat the center of the startup revolution. The state is one of the top five states in the country. There are 16,000 startups in Gujarat. The city of Ahmedabad alone is in the top-4 cities with 6,650 startups. He said that Gujarat remains the best performing state in the startup sector for four consecutive years.
