NGO’s FCRA license canceled one day

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday canceled the registration of taking foreign donations under the FCRA, 2010 of Students Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL), the non-profit organization of Sonam Wangchuk.

In response, Sonam Wangchuk has rejected all the allegations. He said that his organization has never taken foreign donations, but has made commercial transactions with the United Nations, Switzerland and Italy institutions and paid all taxes.
He once again said that his stay in jail can cause more problems for the government than his independence.

Police officer gave a statement

In this case, the police officer said that the security situation in Ladakh was peaceful. There is a possibility of relaxation in restrictions to require people to buy essential commodities. After the clashes, more than 50 people were taken into custody, while the ban on the gathering of 5 or more persons in many major cities including Kargil has been strict. To maintain law and order, the personnel of Dampulis and paramilitary forces were seen patrolling the deserted roads.

District magistrate closed schools for two days

Leh District Magistrate Romil Singh Donk has announced to close all government and private schools, colleges and educational institutions for two days from Friday. He told that apart from this, Anganwadi centers will also be closed. Regarding this, officials said that a high level team of Home Ministry officials reached Leh on Thursday to review the security situation.
