United Nations: India’s Foreign Minister Jaishankar said in the United Nations that BRICs should become a voice of peace and cooperation amidst tariff instability. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called for protecting the multilateral trade system amidst the tariff volatility during the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ meeting during the United Nations General Assembly session in New York. Jaishankar said in a social media post that when the multilateralism is under pressure, BRICS stands firmly as a strong voice of logic and creative change. He said that in a turbulent world, BRICS should strengthen the message of peace establishment, dialogue, diplomacy and international law.
