Mayawati on Kanshiram Jayanti: Today in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, BSP chief Mayawati addressed the public on the 19th birth anniversary of Kanshi Ram. During this, he said that due to delay in repairs in some parts of the Kanshi Ram Memorial built in his honour, people were not able to pay floral tributes to him. However, now most of the repair work has been completed. He further said that this time along with me, all of you also came in lakhs and paid homage to revered Kanshi Ram ji at this place.
Targeted at SP
While addressing the public, Mayawati strongly attacked SP. He said that SP has insulted Kanshi Ram. SP changed the name of Kasganj district as soon as it came to power. Mayawati appealed to the Dalit community to remain united and aware and accused SP of being anti-Dalit. He further said that the Constitution was trampled during the Emergency. Baba Saheb was not allowed to reach Parliament. Bharat Ratna was not given to Baba Saheb.

Praise for Yogi government
On the occasion of the death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram, BSP chief Mayawati said that we are grateful to the present government because unlike the Samajwadi Party government, the money collected from people coming to this place has not been suppressed by the present BJP government. When we were in power and this memorial site was built, we decided to provide tickets for those who wanted to see it and the revenue generated from it would not be used on other things but would be used for the maintenance of parks and other memorial sites built in Lucknow.
Lakhs of workers arrived
Mayawati said that you have come to pay tribute to Kanshi Ram Memorial built during the BSP rule. Some parts of this memorial were not repaired in time, due to which you were not able to pay floral tributes to him, but now that most of it has been completed, you have broken all your records and lakhs have come to pay homage to Kanshi Ram.
