Ingredients for making Phar

Recipe to make Fara

To make pharay, first turn on the gas and place a deep vessel, now add a cup of water in it. Now add 2 spoons of ghee and salt in water and boil the water. When the water boils, add rice flour and then turn off the gas and keep it covered for 5 minutes. When the water mixes well with the flour, prepare the dough after 5 minutes by applying a little ghee on your hands. Now take another vessel and soak gram dal and urad dal in it and keep it for 5 to 6 hours. After the stipulated time, grind the chana dal and urad dal coarsely in the mixer and then add finely chopped chillies, ginger paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and green coriander. Now prepare the stuffing of the farra. Now make small balls and roll one ball like a small puri and fill the stuffing and fold it in half. Like Gujhiya, it does not have to be closed completely, just pressed. Now place all the fried balls in the steamer and steam them. When they are cooked well, remove them from the gas and serve it with sweet chutney.
