Ways to Control Evening Cravings: If you feel the urge to eat something crisp or sweet with tea every evening, then you are not alone. We all have that feeling of wanting to eat something while returning from office or while working from home. However, if you are on a weight loss journey or are tracking calories, these evening hunger pangs can sabotage your fitness goals. In fact, celebrity fitness coach Siddharth Singh, who has also worked with Tamannaah Bhatia, said that it is not difficult to control these cravings. For this, Siddharth has given 3 easy tips, by which you can control your evening hunger.

Protein and Fiber

First of all, it is important that your diet throughout the day is correct. Siddharth believes that there should be a balance of protein and fiber in the food. Both these things do not keep you feeling hungry for a long time. This means that if you take protein like pulses, eggs, cheese, chicken and vegetables, fruits, oats in right quantity in the morning and lunch and fiber in quantity, then your hunger automatically reduces by evening.

Are you really hungry or bored?

Many times we start eating something not because of hunger, but because of boredom or stress. Coach Siddharth says, ask yourself, are you really hungry, or are you just eating something to relieve stress or boredom? If so, then get up and take a walk for ten minutes. Most of the time, this type of food craving goes away on its own. In fact, walking or light movement diverts your mind as well as reduces your stress. Due to this, the habit of emotional eating gradually starts reducing.

When we feel hungry, we pick up whatever is in front of us and eat it. Be it chips or sweets. However, Siddharth says that, if you know that you have a craving for food around 5:30 pm, then planning a healthy snack in advance is a good option. Siddharth said that, he likes sweet and crunchy, so he keeps a bowl of Greek yogurt, some berries and granola ready. This fills the stomach, provides protein and also controls cravings. Overall, if you want to avoid overeating or lose weight, these tips can be followed.
