According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the average air quality index (AQI) on Saturday stood at 361, making Delhi the most polluted city in the country.

AQI is highest in Wazirpur and Bawana at 436. Whereas 435 in Rohini, 414 in Alipur, 412 in Anand Vihar, 416 in Ashok Vihar, 430 in Burari Crossing, 410 in Chandni Chowk, 418 in Mathura Road, 406 in Karni Singh, 420 in ITO, 433 in Jahangirpuri, 420 in Mundka, 419 in Narela, Nehru Nagar. 426, 403 in North Campus, 405 in Okhla Phase 2, 425 in Patparganj, 415 in Punjabi Bagh, 407 in Pusa, 421 in RK Puram, 402 in Siri Fort, 415 in Sonia Vihar and 424 in Vivek Vihar. AQI in Noida is 405. 387 AQI was recorded in Ghaziabad and 254 in Gurugram.

How will be the weather of Delhi today?

The Meteorological Department has predicted light fog on Sunday. During this period, the maximum temperature will be around 28 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 11 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted a drop in temperature in the next five days, due to which the cold will increase further. Rain alert has been issued in some states. There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe between 9 to 13 November.

Meaning of AQI numbers

Let us tell you that according to CPCB, AQI between 0 to 50 is considered good, 51-100 satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor and 401-500 severe. The AQI range of Orange Alert is between 200 to 300, which is considered very bad. At the same time, red alert is issued for AQI between 300 and 400, which is for very serious air quality. In this AQI, people start suffering from eye irritation, headache and cough. At present, a blanket of fog and pollution is also being seen in Delhi. In view of increasing pollution, Delhi government is also making various efforts. At the same time, people’s problems are also increasing.
