Ajmer Singh, a resident of Moga, said that he runs his family by working as a daily wage labourer. He does not understand why he is being held responsible for such a huge tax notice. Victim Ajmer Singh said that as soon as he received the notice, he lost his senses. The entire family got worried. This matter is not new. In 2022 also, Ajmer had received a notice of Rs 21 lakh, but despite complaining, no action was taken.

Company formed under the name ‘CK International’

The victim said that after receiving the notice of Rs 21 lakh, he visited the authorities several times, but no hearing took place. The officials only assured to get it rectified, but no solution was found. Now after two years this matter has become more serious. On inquiring at the GST office in Ludhiana, the victim came to know that a gang had registered a company in his name by the name ‘CK International’. This fake company has been shown in the Gill Road industrial area of ​​Ludhiana, and purchases and sales worth crores of rupees have been registered in its name. The victim Ajmer told that he never even got a PAN card made. He suspects that during Covid-19, when an organization had taken his Aadhaar card in the name of providing free ration, his documents were misused.

Police started investigation

Ajmer Singh said that the organization had said that ration will be given after giving Aadhaar. Later a company was opened in my name and a scam worth crores was done. Earlier a notice of Rs 25 lakh had come, now a notice of Rs 35 crore 71 lakh has been sent. Moga councilor Jagjit Singh called this incident a serious injustice done to the poor family. He said that strict action should be taken against the accused. Police have started investigation on the complaint of the victim. The GST department has instructed Ajmer Singh to pursue the complaint with law enforcement agencies. Moga Police is trying to find out how the fraudsters obtained the identity documents of the victim and how the company was registered. Police have formed teams for investigation. Police say that the police will soon expose the case and arrest the accused.
