Delhi AQI Today: According to CPCB, Delhi’s AQI has been recorded at 356 today. The level of pollution in Delhi is increasing, due to which the AQI continues to remain in the category of very severe.

Delhi AQI Today: Delhiites are now yearning for clean air. With the entry of cold in Delhi, the pollution level is increasing. For the last few days, the average AQI of Delhi is being recorded between 300 to 400 i.e. in the category of very severe. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and IMD, the overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi on Monday was recorded at 356 i.e. the air quality is ‘very poor’. The lowest minimum temperature of this season was recorded in the city at 8.7 degrees Celsius.

Data from CPCB’s Sameer app showed that five monitoring centers reported air quality in the ‘severe’ category, while 29 centers recorded ‘very poor’ levels between 300 and 400. Four centers remained in ‘poor’ category. Of the 38 AQI monitoring centers in the capital, Bawana recorded the highest pollution level, with an AQI of 419. Other areas in the “severe” category include Narela (405), Jahangirpuri (404), Wazirpur (402) and Rohini (401).

As per CPCB standards, an AQI between 0 to 50 is considered ‘good’, 51-100 ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 ‘moderate’, 201-300 ‘poor’, 301-400 ‘very poor’ and 401-500 ‘severe’.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that at 8.30 am the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.7 degrees Celsius, which was 3.6 degrees below normal and the humidity was 92 percent. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light fog in Delhi on Monday. The weather will clear up when the sun comes out later in the day. The maximum temperature in the capital today is likely to be around 25 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 9 degrees Celsius.
